Sherry 7/24/2008 3:12:00 AM I have stayed here three times and the last time was disappointing. They took our clothes and told us to go and check in our room. We checked in and went to our room, which was someone else’s room. I went down and told them the problem. They were polite but had to try and find our clothes. It took about 15 minutes but we did find them before they went to the wrong room. The room we were put in the shower was leaking and the air conditioning vent leaked on your head while sitting on the toilet. The room smelled musty also. We had ordered room service which they were late but again polite. The balcony and chairs were very dirty. Not a 5 star. rockie 7/11/2008 9:00:00 PM We always stay here when we visit Galveston. Rooms were small, bathrooms were tiny and overall not worth the rate. Lovely pool area, but you can't even bring your own drink to the pool. Everything---and I mean everything---has a price tag. Open-air scenery, unobstructed ocean views, cool outdoor fun in swim-up & walk-up bars, crystal fire pits, clear glass & bright-colored lounge areas to converse or catch up on people-gazing; Packed w/college crowd & grownups but even the younger set enjoyed the pool slide & water games. There's a poolside Princess tent for make-up & mini-manicures. Grown-ups dine on fresh on-site sushi bar treats & cocktails while enjoying outstanding sunsets! Upscale pool cabana rentals have flat-screen HDTV's. Sparkling clean & fresh-Attention to detail whether a sunset cocktail, a poolside massage or fun in the swim-up bar. Go check it out.
