About
TMurdochs is one of Galveston’s most historic locations. Originally built in the late 1800’s, the wood structure was constructed directly on the sand. Without the protection of a Seawall, the 1900 storm destroyed the building. Although the structure was rebuilt in 1901, the storms of 1909, 1915, and 2008 were so violent, that reconstruction was required after each.
Today, Murdochs features an array of gifts, collectibles, souvenirs, and beach supplies. The back deck provides an exceptional view of the Gulf of Mexico.

The best souvenir shop! I love the pier and uniqueness of Murdoch's. They have a lot of hermit crabs to choose from. Also have great selection of t shirts, hats, cups, umbrellas, and so on. Get drink and watch waves!

Love this shop! Will have to make this a regular stop when we visit! 
they have so many things … t-shirts, gifts, frames, live crabs, jewelry, shells, Christmas ornaments year round, etc. and a rarely found penny machine!! We got a cute jar for shells, T-shirt, frame, anklet, cool metallic playing cards, etc. the staff were all very friendly and helpful (was looking for the frig crab with wiggly legs - they were out but got a turtle instead) 
super cute store - oh I almost forget - they have the best outdoor patio between the stores with white rocking chairs and a great relaxing view of the ocean …

This is a lovely souvenir gift shop on the beach side of the pier. It has a great selection of Tshirts, little gift and coffee mugs/shot glasses. And their prices are fair. We stopped by to grab some sunscreen and walked out with way more than we were looking for.

To is right on the sea wall and there are souvenirs and gifts for everyone inside! Lots of great Decor and memorabilia. So much custom things and authentic beach stuff. Moderate prices. Great beach spot underneath! Highly recommended. Fun to check out!

Great place to shop for souvenirs of the Galveston area. Better place to purchase a cold beverage and relax on the porch viewing the waves of the Gulf of Mexico. So relaxing and the breeze makes the hottest day feel comfortable. Love this place!!!

A long standing tradition of Galveston. We absolutely love visiting Murdochs every time we are down in Galveston. Lots and lots of souvenirs and fun knickknacks to choose from. Apparel, beach necessities, and more are available here. You can also get a drink and sit on the covered patio and enjoy a panorama view of the ocean.
