Holiday Inn Club Vacations Galveston Beach Resort

Never greeted with a welcome or other. The young lady checking us into the resort chewed gum like a cow and continued to crack and blow bubbles with the gum. We realize it's spring break for those working the resort, but they could have been nicer to all their guests checking in. There was a line to guests checking in. The room is fair.

Really enjoyed our stay! Rooms are spacious and very nice having a kitchen. Quiet and good location. Can’t get any closer to the beach. Pool is heated and hot tub is very nice, and both were open despite the cold temps which we were pleasantly surprised about. Would stay again!

Location was great! However, the rooms were pretty dirty and not maintained. The slow close doors had failed parts on both interior lockout doors that resulted in an injury one evening. Honestly, very dangerous how quickly that heavy door slams shut. I wiped down the door handles and around the door because it was sticky and gross upon arrival. See pictures for an idea of the cleanliness of rooms. The dryer barely worked, if you put more than 3 towels in at a time it would never dry. We did request for that to be looked at and they said it was working fine. Good views, but for a Holiday Inn Club Member, it was quite disappointing on the lack of care these rooms receive. It was nice that they had basketballs, volleyballs and beach chairs that you could use.

My son's birthday went off like we were in Disneyland! Thank you for providing us with lots of time to party by getting us checked in fast. Our family appreciates the fact that we were priority. The views were peaceful, we celebrated while listening to the waves! We enjoyed the beach that evening and laughs! Staff did a great job! Thank you to the maintenance man who came quickly to resolve our issue. Customer Service was fast and all issues were handled professionally.

Can't say enough about the care & service provided by Andrew at the front! He was wonderful and ensured we had a great stay. The 1 bedroom villa had a separate hot tub and standing shower with an accessible bench that pulls down in the standing shower which was AMAZING since I was on crutches but opted out of an accessible room. Fully stocked kitchen with all you need for a few nights. I wish there was a direct paved path to the basketball court and the picnic tables, I noticed this while on crutches. Activity room was cool! Little arcade games but CRAZY expensive, come on Holiday Inn lol. Had a great experience overall and think we may have found our go to spot in Galveston, finally!

There was sand in the bed. The sliding glass door didn't work right and has to be locked. Otherwise it makes noises. The east elevator was out of order and the working elevator was across the hotel. The checking was a nightmare and the person checking me took forever. Kept asking for help from a coworker and had to be told multiple times how to do it. There was MOLD in the shower!! When I talked to front desk Jessica asked if we wanted released. I said yes but it wasn't cleaned. I felt gross taking a shower knowing the show wasn't clean and wondered what else wasn't cleaned. Left like my worries and concerns feel on deaf ears. The bedroom door to the patio was messed up. Instead of a proper handle, you have a door knob. This trip was supposed to be special. We just lost an uncle to a long battle with cancer and wanted to get away for a bit. Wish we stayed at a DIFFERENT RESORT!!
