I called this place looking for a place to stay in Galveston because I don’t prefer airbnb. The lady on the phone was very sweet and when I asked if they took 18 year olds she called me back and confirmed they did. We drove the 5 hours down and I had payed for pretty much everything on this vacation making it non refundable. When we got there an older women was there and was extremely rude to begin with. Not only did she argue with me that we were down for one less night then we were, she told us the girl on the phone was wrong. She called one person then told us it was fine as long as we payed in full. Then she called someone else as we were filling out the form for our room telling us never mind and taking the form back telling us to leave. After we were trying to figure out what is going on. She picked up the phone and ignored us. Leaving us alone 5 hours from home. Don’t waste your time and go to the beachcombers inn the staff is nice, it’s just as close to the beach, less sketchy, cleaner, and almost the same price when we went.

Somehow got swindled into paying $207 for this room on fourth of July weekend. It was one of the cheapest hotels without a 6 or an 8 in its name - but it's still a $80/night kind of hotel - not $200. My expectations were low going into this stay - yet even those expectations were not met. I'll start with the positive: you can see the ocean from the room we were in; location is excellent. Everything else was either bizarre or nasty. The check-in process: bizarre. The woman who helped me was nice, but seemed a bit uncertain as if she was new or inexperienced? She had me fill out a form with the information she should already have had from my online reservation - and then asked for a $50 cash deposit, but almost as if it was a suggestion? It was very bizarre. I responded with "I've never heard of a cash deposit - can you use my card?" and then she just dropped it? Very bizarre. It left my wife and I feeling as if they were trying to scam us out of $50 - there's no paper trail for cash. The room: not bad for what it is, but attention to detail was lacking. The parking lot is in need of repair, and cleaning. The room itself had dirty floors, rusted tub, everything was off-center (poor workmanship), the mirror was dirty, and the sheets were full of stains. They smelled clean, but clearly the sheets haven't been replaced in quite some time. The pillows were the worst offender - the actual pillows themselves were covered in drool stains; disgusting. Overall, it was a place to sleep for the night before our cruise. I still feel ripped off having paid $207 for the night, but it is what it is. The service was friendly, but bizarre, and left us feeling as if there was an attempt to scam us (bizarre request for a $50 cash deposit?) I'd only stay again if it were closer to $100/night.

The beds were very comfy and this hotel was in a very good location for everything we wanted to do!! The rooms were clean and inviting! The front desk staff ( which I was able to meet each one of them) were great! They bent over backwards to help and accommodate!! Patsy was so wonderful and nice! We became great friends and she is just the greatest! There was not one person there that was not nice or pleasant!! Thank you for a wonderful trip and accommodating 11 of us! We will be coming back!

Room was horrible, dirty, and bugs everywhere. $103.40 for that nasty room. Sink was so filthy and clogged that I had to go buy drain cleaner. AC leaked all over carpet. Carpet was wet and just gross. It was just gross. Mold and dust. Yuck. Stayed out of the room most of the night and checked out at5 am. The man who checked us out was rude and did not want to give us our $50 cash deposit back for the keys and parking pass. Looked like one of those motels that would rent by the hour. The only good part was the nice lady who checked us in, Patricia. She was sweet and helpful. The rest of that room/reservation was a fiasco. Looks nothing like the pics on the booking sites and it's misleading. I even believe some of reviews saying how nice it is are fakes. Don't waste your money there.

Absolutely wonderful! All the staff was extremely friendly and was always extremely helpful! We came for my husbands birthday and they definitely made us feel welcomed and wanted at their establishment, we can’t wait to go back next year! I look forward to my morning coffee from the the little breakfast and coffee they put out every morning! I love how the morning room wasn’t too large it was very cozy for us!
