In Episode 9 of my video series, Artifacts. Stories., George Osborne and I head to the beach to imagine what it was like when Cabeza de Vaca landed a raft on Galveston Island in 1528. The story takes us to a West End home where we see a scale model raft based on details from Cabeza de Vaca’s memoir. J.P. Bryan explains how he acquired an original copy of the memoir which is now on display at The Bryan Museum.
