Gluten-Free? Easy!
It wasn’t too very long ago that asking to see the gluten free menu in a restaurant would have elicited a response along the lines of “What’s a gluten?” from your baffled server. But in this era of expanding culinary enlightenment, most restaurants now take pride in catering to their gluten free customers with the same delicious, flavorful options that non-gluten threatened diners enjoy.

Insider Reviews
Hupcap Grill & Cocktail Bar
Heavens to Betsy! Sometimes you just need some red meat in the fashion of a good ol’ burger. When you get that hankering, and your tummy rumbles you won’t be disappointed by the selections and tastes at Hubcap Grill. Extra bonus: it’s located on the historic Strand across the street from the oldest commercial building in Galveston. Handcrafted hamburgers, dining inside equally delicious architecture, and topped with the Strand’s ambiance steeped in history? Yes, please!
Number 13 Prime Steak and Seafood
The two of us ventured over to Number 13 for our maiden meal after hearing great reviews through the Galveston grapevine. Saving our calories in preparation, we arrived almost famished and nearly hangry. We prepared well.
Mosquito Cafe
For one of us in this dining duo, breakfast is the meal to end all meals. It is the epic start to every day. It is The Show. There is no better plate of food than a properly prepared tangle of breakfast fare.
