Looking for ways to better utilize their educational facilities during the current COVID-19 pandemic, the Galveston Children’s Museum has decided to open up the GCM Learning Center. Lead by a team of certified teachers and assistants, “GMC is doing what we do best in supporting families in these crazy times – meeting the online schooling needs in an enriching and stimulating environment, through intentional play, all within a COVID-19 safe setting” said Nancy Schultz, Founder and Executive Director.

According to their website, the mission of GCM is to provide a unique hands-on environment where children explore, investigate, create, and discover. You can now add “educational coaching” to that statement. For parents who have to work away from the home, the GMC Learning Center offers a great school away from school setting that provides educational coaching utilizing your school’s online curriculum, and a structured daily schedule that will provide active learning to support, reinforce, and enhance their studies.
The GMC Learning Center offers a great educational alternative for families with small children, while also providing much needed funding in order to continue operating the museum. Available to children in K – 4th grade, the program will run from 8am to 5pm, allowing for flexibility to meet most scheduling needs. Space is limited, so reserve your child’s spot today by calling (409)572-2544.
