Beautiful hotel with a ton of charm!! We loved the property and everything it had to offer. Drink prices were slightly higher than expected and there was a dog that continued to bark for hours and hours. We notified staff several times which was really frustrating but overall great experience.

Wonderful experience. The resort amazing room was smaller than I expected, considering I got a Deluxe king room. But overall, more than satisfied. This historic hotel has great views. A restaurant closes at 10 pm, and the bar closes at 12 a.m. I enjoyed this so much I forgot to take pictures. Definitely will be going back.

My experience at the Galvez Hotel was one where I stepped back in time. The hotel was clean. The staff (All of them were courteous and would go above and beyond to serve). The beauty at the hotel has to be seen to appreciate. It’s centralized with many nearby amenities. I want to apologize to the valet staff for accusing them of losing my truck. The valet staff was very professional and they kept my truck safe. I plan on returning and staying there and I praise the Management for a their work. God Bless.

Just completed a 3 night stay. From the valet to housekeeping and everyone in between was too notch. Upon arrival for a business stay I was able to check in early. My room was spotless and well appointed. There was a second conference also at hotel so a full house but the staff never missed a beat. The valet team..wow completely set the bar high at one point both conferences had offside events and everyone needing their cars. These guys made quick work of getting everyone on their way with 15 minutes. I heard a few grumbling about wait times at different areas such as front desk, restaurant, etc but when they are tending to the guest in front of them..they are not express lining they are listening and taking care of you. I rather wait than be rushed and unheard. Great job Grand Galvez..I will be back.

Love this beautiful historical hotel. The restaurant is also amazing. Good food, great prices, and amazing service. All of the staff is super friendly and attentive. Shout out to Ryan in valet parking. He parked the car, helped me get everything to the room, and set up the roll away bed for my daughter. I didn't have to ask. He saw me struggling with her wheel chair and the bags, and he just took charge. Exceptional stay.

When we checked in, there was a wedding, so it took nearly 30 minutes just to get into the hotel. Then we had to wait another 15 minutes while two registration attendants slowly helped two guests. Finally, when we got to register, there was a tall, slender gentleman who was friendly and helpful, but that’s where the positives ended. They put us on the third floor, right over the wedding reception, and didn’t even bother to mention it! It felt like discovering that you paid for a round of golf only to find the greens were punched. We went to the restaurant for dinner, where the food was decent, but the service was a disaster. And it wasn’t the server’s fault—he was friendly enough, but the wedding chaos kept him away from our table for 10-15 minutes at a time just to get us water. But the real issue was the wedding reception itself! The audio was so loud that we heard every single bump and beat of their music until past midnight. We tried to sleep starting at 9:30 PM, but it was impossible with the DJ blaring every word. If they had bothered to inform us we were directly over the reception, we could have moved to the other side of the building! For over $200, I was incredibly disappointed. And the worst part? When we checked out, I shared my experience with the young lady at the front desk, and her response was completely disengaged and unconcerned. The only bright spot was Mariah, an amazing server in the restaurant, who truly made our breakfast experience enjoyable. It’s just infuriating that such a trip could go so wrong!
