Reviews
About as far down the island as you can get, but worth the drive. Park is clean, well kept and gives an air of "new". Great amenities (pick yourself up a frozen "adult" drink upon check-in), pet friendly and every activity you can think of.
This place exceeded our expectations. The website doesn’t do a good job of accurately representing everything they have to offer. It was a great experience. The customer service is phenomenal and every staff member we came in contact with was very kind, responsive, accommodating and HAPPY to help. (Which can be few and far between rhese days) The check in process was very smooth and QUICK! Plus a staff member will escort you to your spot. The pool and lazy river are both heated. There are no floats provided for the lazy river, so if you want to float, bring your own. There’s plenty of chairs and tables to sit at in both areas. The gift shop was stocked with essentials, snacks and a few toys and t shirts etc. Public beach access is just a 1 mins drive outside the Rv community and very easy to get to. There is also pickleball courts, fire pits, a dog park and a playground! The bathrooms and showers are cleaned and well maintained, also. I highly recommend! We will definitely be return visitors. I really don’t have one “con” to say about the place!
We camped here with our Pop Up. The grounds are well kept, restrooms were clean, store is handy with lots of things you may need, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. I actually had to call the after hours number for a loose electric plug(which they came right away to fix.) Also, we had a camper behind us who's dog was barking uncontrollably. The KOA worker came and made sure the dog wasn't left. There was also a Tamale vendor who came to the park and his food is delicious Overall a Great visit!!
What a fun and very memorable time we had at this KOA! All of the staff are beyond amazing. Lori at the front desk greeted us warmly and checked us in, her hubby Matt escorted us to our site and Marc Hollander who is the Director of Guest Services went way above and beyond to make sure all of our needs were met. But what we heard from speaking to our neighbors in the RV park, ALL guests are given these same courtesies. Marc and his wife Tammy are known for their gracious hospitality and the list of monthly activities they create to enhance the stay of their guests gurantees everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit. The heated pool and hot tub are open year round, and the "Lazy River" that snakes between the two is heated for your floating pleasure!
The RV park covers a lot of ground so the sites are roomy and spread out, with grassy areas in between. The bathroom/shower facilities are sparkling clean and comfortable. The registration office is also a small store with supplies, gifts and even local Galveston craft beer. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 day stay and can highly recommend Galveston Island KOA Holiday for your family vacation!
Location is wonderful. Literally one road from the beach that you can walk to. Super easy. Each rv spot is very clean. The bathrooms/shower/ pools. Couldn’t ask for a better place for the kids to camp! Great little dog spot as well. Very well maintained grounds and nice employees. Thank you guys for a great family vacation. We stayed an extra night and the front desk was grateful and let us have it for $55. Laundry was a bit finicky, but front desk still returned our money and worked on the machines. Only thing is I wish they had floats for the lazy River that was a little disappointing but we still had fun in it!
This is by far one of the best RV parks. The staff members throughout the park were extremely helpful and very nice. The amenities are awesome. Lots of places for the pups to walk around. The beach is across the street, it was very clean. I highly recommend KOA Galveston, we will be returning soon!
