La Izquierda Community Event Celebrating Galveston’s Recovery

Following the resilience of our community in the wake of Hurricane Beryl, La Izquierda Fest, a 501c3 non-profit organization, is thrilled to host a FREE “Save the Locals” concert to celebrate Galveston’s spirit and the beauty of the Gulf Coast.

Concert at Menard Park

Enjoy an evening of live music, delicious burgers sponsored by Zero Six Consulting and Yaga’s Cafe, Seawall Gulf views, and good company! This family-friendly event is the perfect opportunity to reconnect with neighbors, enjoy the vibrant local music scene, and celebrate the unique culture of Galveston.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • FREE Admission: Fun for the whole family, this event is completely free to attend.
  • Location: Menard Park Bandshell (outdoors)2222 28th
  • Date: Thursday, July 18th, 2024
  • Live Music (6:00 PM – 9:00 PM): Get grooving to the sounds of Dem Roots with the OJE Band & Youth Should Love.
  • Delicious Food: Enjoy tasty burgers sponsored by Zero Six Consulting and Yaga’s Cafe.
  • Support Local Art: Grab some one-of-a-kind La Izquierda Fest and Save the Locals merchandise, featuring upcycled screen-printed shirts, hats, posters, and more.
  • Bring Your Crew: This event is dog-friendly, so feel free to bring your furry friend along! Chairs, blankets, and good company are always welcome.

La Izquierda Fest is dedicated to enriching the communities of Galveston and the Gulf Coast through surf culture, art, and fostering a thriving local scene. This event is a testament to the power of community and the importance of preserving our natural environment.

Through their support, Zero Six Consulting hopes to bridge the gap between struggling families and local restaurants following Hurricane Beryl.
