Aqua Safari Charters

We went on a trip this afternoon and only caught one fish, but that’s how fishing goes. The owner went above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied customers.

They should let the customers actually fish. We paid 1k for 10 of us to just stand there and watch, never touch the fishing rod and only catch 1 fish during the entire 4 hours. Definitely not using them again. The only reason we didn't go with Just Cast Fishing Charters like we usually do this time was because we had a large group and Safari Aqua was the only fishing charter with a boat big enough for 10, but definitely not worth it. Every one was very disappointed that they didn't even get to cast a fishing pole. We understand that sometimes you don't catch fish but at least let the customers who pay good money attempt to fish.

Captain Hoot and Jonathan exceeded our expectations! They were very knowledgeable and personable, the entire trip from start to finish was pure entertainment!

Their boats are looking so nice, slowly but surly making progress on them. All the captains are super funny and the deck hand is amazing! I can’t wait to go out on more trips with Aqua Safari Charters and Galveston Deep Sea Fishing

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY! We planned our trip for months. During that time I contacted them 14 different times, either through email or by phone to confirm information and to get the trip paid in full. Our family came in from all corners of Texas for this trip, it took a very ling time to get a good date nailed down. At 6:30 am we were at the dock but no one was there with the boat. After waiting 30 minutes I decided to check my email due to another issue and saw that the captain had emailed me at 9pm the previous night asking for me to contact him ASAP and that he didn't have my number. I immediately called him and could tell he was asleep. He told that the day prior, the waves were so high that they were hitting the second deck of the ship and that it was supposed to be worse today. This was a lie, I asked the other charters around and all confirmed that the waters were fine the day prior. We planned this trip for months only to have it cancelled because the captain/crew didnt want to go out. His only response was "Whats your next available date for reschedule?" We are not millionaires, it took months of planning and saving to get all 11 people there that day. The only reason they are getting one star is that they were willing to give us a refund after some convincing and even that was a headache. At first he didn't even want to do that, stating that there were still "costs associated". If the weather was honestly that bad, he should have contacted me at a reasonable time so that we could have found a decent alternative. Also, this boat is not big enough for 18 people. We would have been miserable with just 11.

Had a nine hr off shore trip booked on Saturday had seven people aboard who drove in from Louisiana and okla and north Texas ..talked to capt night before who said all is well for trip. arrived Saturday morning at six thirty am .met first mate and loaded equipment on boat. at seven when we was supposed to leave we didn't.captain had not shown up. Asked first mate who stated he talked to capt and would be there in ten minutes. never showed up. one hour passed and no capt. mate called and said could not get answer from him nor the boat owner. another hour passed with negative results. at nine am decided to stop waiting and leave. very bad experience and very unprofessional. Had used services prior was satisfied but not anymore.unfortunately will not charter again
