Located on Galveston’s west end, Woody’s Bar is a full-service, open-air bar featuring great drink specials, live music, pool, and one of the most spectacular Gulf views on the Island. Home of the “fastest Harley’s, cold domestic and imported beers, and hot bartenders, this hotspot enjoys a bustling business every day (and night!) of the week.
Unlike most Seawall watering holes that are located across the street from the Gulf, Woody’s is actually one of the very few hangouts actually on the beach itself. And with retractable garage-style doors on either end, patrons can enjoy the warm, tropical air during the summer, and be warm in the winter. Plus, the outdoor deck features comfortable Adirondack chairs, to make the vibe even better.

We discovered this little gem two years ago and it became our spot in Galveston. It's far enough away from the obnoxious tourist areas to be super relaxed. We told the bartender (who was excellent) we had driven 10 hours to watch the Superbowl at this bar, just like last year. When the game started the owner (always a good sign when the owner is drinking in the place) wouldn't give us sound on the game because I guess he wanted the background jukebox going while he drank. I should mention there were only 2 other people in the whole place besides the drunk owner and the very nice bartender. We've recommended the place to several friends heading down here. Never again, and we won't be back ourselves. It's really a shame. There's a help wanted sign up. Go figure...

Filled with ABT and Twistedwoods. 2 hot bartenders (1white blonde, 1Hot Asian with Tatts) good live band but could not enjoy because of ABT taking over the place. Few of them packing.

Great bar, but that’s it. It’s a just an open concept tavern on the ocean. No food and not really family friendly… but if you’re with a crew of friends or out on your iron horse or just lookin to tie one on at the beach, this place is for you.
