Spa San Luis

I absolutely love the San Luis in Galveston! We stayed there in November, and it wasn’t our first visit—we always have an amazing time. From the moment you arrive, the valet greets you warmly, setting the tone for a fantastic stay. The pool area is gorgeous, and I especially enjoy renting the round beds to lounge in the sun. The cabanas are also a great option for a more private and relaxing experience. The entire property is beautifully maintained and well-groomed. A special mention to Jon Paul, who manages The Steakhouse—he is truly outstanding. His active involvement in every aspect of the restaurant is impressive, and I was amazed that he remembered us from years ago. The food at The Steakhouse is some of the best I’ve had in a long time. As a 5-star restaurant in my book, I hold it to high standards, and they never disappoint. Without a doubt, the next time we’re in Texas, we’ll be staying at the San Luis again!

My husband and I stayed here in February 2025 before a cruise and chose to stay in the club 10 level for an up charge. First the good points: the valet attendants were extremely kind and welcoming as was Marcanthony at the front desk. They provided excellent hospitality and friendly service so I felt relaxed right from the start. I loved the fact that there are several restaurants to choose from on the premises. We had driven a long way and didn’t want to leave the hotel for dinner. We ate at Blake’s Bistro and had wonderful food and great service. The property is pretty with great views of the beach. We didn’t use the pools or hot tubs but they looked fantastic. Now for the bad points: the room is extremely dark and dated. The shower leaks water all over the floor but the bed was the worst part of it all. Very hard, lumpy and incredibly uncomfortable. Neither one of us slept well and woke up stiff and sore. The pillows were hard and lumpy too giving me a stiff neck the next morning. Not a good way to start vacation. We paid over $600 for the room and I expected a more comfortable room for that price. We cruise out of Galveston a lot but won’t be staying here again. It’s unfortunate because the location, food and hospitality is great. PS, don’t bother with the club10. The amenities aren’t worth the extra money

The resort exceeded expectations! There is a street that stretches along the coastline. Stunning views, clean rooms, and exceptional service. Loved the activities and relaxing pool area. Perfect for a getaway. Will definitely return. Highly recommend!

My wife and I recently visited the San Luis resort on a weekend Getaway, I highly recommend this Luxury hotel to anyone visiting Galveston from out of town, or locals looking for an all inclusive place to stay for the weekend! The staff at the San Luis are first class and make you feel the same in kind. The hospitality shown by Van at the front desk was very much appreciated, the wonderful experience we had will keep my family coming back to this beautiful resort by the beach! Thank you to Van and all the other staff that made us feel like family!!

Ms Van at the front desk extremely helpful, got my family in a room with no problems. Ms Van knows her product. The facilities are amazing pool is outstanding food is great. Was the best trip I have had!!

In a world where one often feels the difficulties of finding a business that cares, The San Luis Resort completely changes that perspective! Every aspect of our time here was executed perfectly. From valet parking, to check in, poolside service to room service and what may be the coolest restaurant/bar concept I have come across, we are so pleased. Every single dish or beverage we have had on property has been excellent- they make everything here, in house. We decided to have cocktails at the bar and discovered that you can order dinner from any one of the restaurants on site… Do not miss this opportunity!! Liberty, the head bartender was really great and the service manager gave us recommendations for each course and we decided to try them all! She really was such a bonus to our night!! The San Luis truly provides an upscale experience. Shantel with the room service team was warm and funny while taking our order and our items arrived within 20 minutes! (Unheard of today) I could go on but just need to say, staying here allowed us to slow down for a couple of days. We are refreshed and so happy with our experience
